College and career readiness is the preparation students need to succeed in post-secondary education or training and enter a chosen career without the need for remedial coursework. It encompasses both academic knowledge, like mastery of core subjects, and essential soft skills such as communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration. To achieve this, students must be equipped with a combination of academic knowledge, essential workplace skills, and the understanding of how to navigate future opportunities.
